- This is an animal rarely offered for sale.....a 2 year old, captive bred, female, giant straw colored fruit bat. Just in time for your Halloween display. We acquired two of these magnificent bats last year (they are sisters) and really only need one. We bring her out in our custom designed hearse for our Halloween presentations and everyone goes nuts! I have been in this business a very long time and have never seen one of these for sale. We have the paperwork and she is completely legal. This is one of the largest bats in the world and extremely easy to care for. This girl would make a perfect animal for a zoo display or educational facility, as well as a breeder (if you can find a male, then please let me know!). We are only asking $2200. All the money will go otni our non-profit educational facility. We are located about 10 minutes from the Detroit Metropolitan Airport, so shipping is no problem.
