FRUIT BATS! PLEASE READ before messaging. Seba's Short-tailed Fruit bat (Carollia perspicillata). Message me for info. Legal states only or w/permit. I’m located in Florida.
Sold in groups of minimum 5 animals, $200 each. They’re a species that is found in groups, so I will not offer lone animals or pairs. It’s not ethical.
RARELY OFFERED
Seba Short-tailed fruit bats do best in an enclosure w/ soft plastic 1/6-1/8th” mesh that allows a “bounce” and a minimum 3’ x 6’ x 5’. I can suggest mesh for this purpose. They generally don’t do as well in enclosures using a hard mesh, but in a larger enclosure, pvc coated mesh with some modifications can work.
Diets can vary, but is a fruit eating species that I provide fresh fruit that is slightly puréed (I just add fruit with vitamins to a metal bowl and go at it with a knife) and offered in food containers.
Willing to exchange groups for/towards female sloths, female/pairs Jamaican Fruit Bats, Straw Colored Fruit Bats, female Egyptian Fruit Bats unrelated to my group, Vampire Bats, other bat species, female Keel-billed Toucan, female Croc Monitors, Rock Hyrax, Chilean Flamingos, Tayra, Eastern Spotted Skunks, Plains Spotted Skunks, Red-billed Hornbills, Galapagos/Aldabra/Radiated Tortoises, Aubrey’s Flapshell Turtles, a couple other animals that might fit into my current plans.
