New Guinea Singing Dogs originate from New Guinea. Not only are they considered the rarest breed of dog in the world, it's believed there is less than 200 in the wild. This means without this species in captivity, they will face extinction.

NGSD's can make an amazing pet with their human family, however they do best as the only pet. The only exception to this is a med - large dog, but must be introduced to them from early on. Due to their wild instincts, they will see other animals as food and most likely eat them. Don't let this mislead you to think they are aggressive, they aren't. They are one of the sweetest pets imaginable with humans!

The average lifespan is 15 - 20 years. Adult size is 12" - 18" at shoulder.
