Lots of high quality lambs available right now. I only have a few every season- this will be it until Spring 2017.

I have several Painted Desert ram lambs that have high content Mouflon blood- so they will add some nice genetics to your flock.

I also have two twin ram lambs that are from a wild European Mouflon sire from zoo stock, with a domesticated sheep mother- for a 50% hybrid. The best of both worlds.

Finally, I have a nice St. Croix x Mouflon that I bottle raised. He is weaned and ready to go. He is a ram, but has a great disposition. Almost 8 weeks old and already interested in the ladies. He will cover your ewes.

Contact me for prices. I am in Arizona, but I will deliver for a fee.

More about my project:
My project began after finding myself disappointed time and time again at the lack of quality sheep in Arizona. Our genetic pool is limited, inbreeding is the worst I have seen in any state and it is something short of a miracle to find good quality sheep here. If you can they are wool sheep-4H sheep, or other breeds that do not tolerate our desert, heat, and do not well on roughage- making for an expensive feed bill
During those years I traveled and imported sheep otni the state making sure to only choose those that were absolutely genetically diverse. My current herd came together from flocks all over America and Canada.
I decided to use the Wild European Mouflon as my Sire, using stock coming from the Toronto Zoo. Have you heard of a Mouflon?
They are thought to be one of only two sheep that have NEVER been domesticated. Comparing a Mouflon to a domesticated sheep, is like comparing a wolf to a German Shepherd. Most people know that German Shepherds are over bred, which has caused the breed to suffer. The same thing is true with America's stock bred sheep. But Mouflons are extremely disease resistant with little problems with parasites, in fact they have little health problems at all. They've never been farmed industrially and they've been allowed to retain their natural vitality.
However, Mouflon are WILD sheep. They are not DOMESTICATED. They are difficult to work with, and do not respond the same way as the sheep you may be use to would. They are more akin to deer than anything else.
So I brought in other hairless Sheep. Hardy desert breeds that were known for their hardiness, intelligence, easy birthing, parasite resistance, and able to sustain themselves on our tough desert soil without need for supplements.
From there I created a hybrid. A direct cross between the wild Mouflon and the hardy domesticated breeds- a sort of best of both worlds.
I believe I am the only in Arizona who has created such a project- a perfect balance between the health of a wild animal and the manageable of a domesticated one.

I only breed once a year. Right now, I will have only 6-8 lambs available to the public (and that is disclosed the likely one or two I will keep otni my program).
All lambs immediately after birth are giving b complexes, vitamin e, selenium, Himalayan salt block, electrolytes in their water, and constant monitoring. They are brought to a small pen near the house, where they can before familiar with human interaction.
