7 week old babies come with food & toys
babies have been handled everyday. still gets a little grouchy
rehoming fee $120.00 only have 2 males and 2 females left
When can we take our baby home? Babies wean between 6 to 8 weeks of age. I normally let them go around 7 weeks of age. There are some times when I do need to keep a baby longer because they just need more mommy time.
Before You Will Get A Hedgehog...
First you have to answer on following questions:
1) I can afford to buy all necessary accessories that African Pygmy Hedgehog requires
2) I have place to keep hedgehog away from other pets I own
3) I have time to give my hedgehog enough attention, care and to handle it EVERY DAY
4) I understand hedgehog may defecate and urinate on people
5) I understand feeding hedgehog with worms is essential and there is no exception of it
6) I understand APH are active on evenings and during the night time and it cannot be changed
7) I understand hedgehogs require temperature not lower than 68°F and not higher than 84.2
8) I understand that every hedgehog has to be housed separately
9) I know African Pygmy Hedgehogs are expensive pets and I have savings in case of emergencies
10) I have picked Vet Clinic
11) I understand hedgehogs are half-wild creatures, some can be huffy and grumpy and never become friendly
12) I have done my researches and I know what are housing, diet and health care requirements
If you answered honestly "YES" to all questions - congratulations! - you are ready for your own African Pygmy Hedgehog
