I am considering rehoming a Kinkajou that was an owner surrender about 3mo ago. She is approximately 2yrs old, fixed, and was bottle raised. I planned from the beginning to rehome her but she has turned otni the biggest sweetheart.
Adult Kinkajous rehome TERRIBLY. They go through a period of 3-4 weeks where they are stressing with their new family and can get grumpy.
Once Kinka moved past that stage, she has been one of the best kinkajous I've worked with. She will happily go to anyone, is great with my 4 and 5 year old when she's out of her cage (she gets annoyed if they pick on her while she's kenneled in her 5x5x5 cage), and she LOVES playing with our dogs (links to youtube videos available upon request).
Only reason I'm even considering rehoming her at this point is that I promised my wife I would when she was first surrendered to us. She would make a phenomenal animal ambassador or pet for animal education shows once established in a new home.
She's worth more than the $2k I'd like for her, and will come with the same cage she was surrendered with ($500 value). You MUST have experience with Kinkajous or similar exotics. Email me with why you'd make a great home.
